Coffee

An aged bag of coffee emptied into the bin
The aroma fills the room within the hour
Coffee shop imagery appears with closed eyes
Hatred for sugar, in my coffee, fills the dentists' till
Coffee no more, caffeine cravings remain unfulfilled
Hatred for stained coffee mugs, granules in the sink
Coffee breath unpleasantness, tugs the nerve of disgust at its' root
Hatred for off milk, pour-away stench, container lingers in the bin
Decaf's a spoon and no hands, or arms
Hatred for percolator rinses, stainless gauze stained, a dirty spring
No brush works, no scourer works
Coffee, several pleasant sips, proceeded by a chore
Hatred for oversized bags of coffee, special offers in store
Pinned wide awake for days on end
Coffee in the bin, sleeping soundly
Lovely aroma though
