The narcoleptic fossil throwers throw the fossils around the fossil factory to break them up and make them look old! Then the levitating sea horses fly them to the moon where there's a big invisible rocket launcher into which all the fossils are loaded. They are then fired at the earth, breaking through into earth's atmosphere at ten-thousand miles-per-hour, and embed themselves in the ground. Then some archaeologist digs them up and goes "Oooooh, I found a fossil!"

The archaeologist then drives the fossil to the fossil museum where it's placed in a big glass cabinet for all to see. Unless of course the fossil looks really ugly, in which case they shut it away in a big metal drawer a bit like a dead body! Though unlike a dead body the fossil stays in the drawer for years and years, until the fossil polishers come along, but they're another story entirely.
